You can visit the docks in the city of Sentinel in Alik'r. In the PC servers, it's a spot where players grind by killing the zombies. Harvest all the ore you can, and make sure whoever refines it has all the points in refining. Doesn't matter what tier of ore. Update to add: You also get them from Daily Writs, but I doubt that is the most reliable way. I work 12 hours a day so my limited playtime in ESO is valuable to me. I don't have time to grind or farm because I just work too much irl, so, I do a 1000:1 goldtocrown exchange and provide a service to people who don't have enough money irl to get the items they want from the crown store but who have plenty of time in the game to farm gold.

Motif farming from dlc hardmodes is the easiest gold/lowest effort for unlimited gold; need experienced group though. You typically make the most by being the source of anything, be it mats via writs, motifs, skins via carrys etc. Flipping stuff seems like a lot of effort for average return, but probably another ok option for players who like that type of play.

You get tons of gear, namely accessory and enchants which you can deconstruct for lots of inspiration. It requires very little imput and you can split screen and watch something else while you are leveling up. You can fill your skill bar with 6 different skill lines and use a 7th weapon to level up 7 different skill lines at the same time.
