From reading, it seems Hario mini is slightly easier to adjust, has plastic container and hold less coffee. Performs slightly better at coarse range. Best for those doing small coffee batch at a time.

The Skerton produced a quite a few boulders (large chunky coffee grounds). Didn't notice a difference in the amount of fines, probably because they're...fine. Aroma: Didn't notice much of a difference in the smell of the coffee. Couldn't really say if one was better than the other. ... So I'd go for the mini mill. Pay less for the same results.

I was planning on getting either of these sometime in the future. The Skerton only costs a few dollars more so price isn't really an issue here.

The mini mill in terms of grind quality is better than the skerton, I guess the skerton is more often recommended simply due to it having a larger grind capacity 2 Ukenstein • 6 yr. ago I can't imagine that grind capacity alone is the reason it trends higher.
